Beth Fields, PhD, OTR/L

I am an occupational therapist and assistant professor in the Occupational Therapy Program, Department of Kinesiology at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I recently completed a postdoctoral fellowship with Dr. Rosland as my primary mentor in the Center for Health Equity Research and Promotion at the VA Pittsburgh Healthcare System. Together, we examined 1) how and why family caregivers assume specific roles for otherwise independent adults with diabetes, and 2) the influence of health literacy on diabetes management support from family caregivers.  My program of research is focused on promoting quality person and family-centered care delivery.

In addition to really enjoying my work, I love to travel, read, and go on long hikes with my family.
